Our purple watercolor invitations are so popular that I decided to do variations in blue.

These elegant blue and gold invitations would make a lovely floral wedding invite. But they're not just for weddings. They can also be used for flyers, small posters, notepaper, stationery, scrapbook journaling or free birthday party invitation templates.

The delicate designs are predominantly blue but also have lovely touches of aqua, teal and several shades of purple. They would be beautiful for a spring or summer wedding, party or event but would also work in winter or fall because of the touches of Navy blue. And of course, the gold in the geometric frames is timeless. The frames lend elegance and structure to the watercolor flowers and give the designs an overall classic vibe. To complete the look, all you need to do is choose the font(s) that reflect your personal taste. Scroll down the page to see some samples that would work well with this design.

Tips

• These blue and gold invitations can be used either vertically or horizontally, and the horizontal versions can be turned to face right to left or left to right. 


• There are thousands of free and paid fonts available online that will work well with these templates. But which is the right one for you? To aid you in finding the perfect font, I've chosen some that will work well with these templates, especially for a formal occasion like a wedding or anniversary party. Just click on the font names below to go to their respective download pages. Each one has at least a basic version that's free.

Because the capital letters are so ornate, you might want to use the Precious font as an accent and not for all the text on your final design.

The beautiful, modern Artilla Script font also has a paid version that has alternate versions that provide swishes and curlicues.

Like Artilla, the Metalurdo font has a paid version with variations that will allow you to customize your text.

The Quintella font's light script gives a flowing, elegant look.

The Heat of Everything font is great for when you want a script font but also want a bold look. It has the heart icon shown above too!
